Orville Dean Todd, 78, of Peculiar, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Interment will be in the Duncan Cemetery in Kingsville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Duncan Cemetery Association.
Orville was born October 9, 1946 in Seymour, MO, a son of Edward "Bub" Orville and Genevieve Lee (Helms) Todd. The family moved to Peculiar in 1959 where Orville was a 1964 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. Orville was a tool & die maker, working for R & D Manufacturing in Lee's Summit, MO, retiring after 30 years as a Manufacturing Supervisor.
Orville was united in marriage to Stephanie Brown on September 11, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they made their home together in Peculiar. Orville was an avid hunter, especially deer, and was a very big Chiefs fan, never missing a game. He thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren, and loved to attend all their activities.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Todd and Larry Todd; and two sisters, Janice Brewster and Donna Schrock. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Todd, Peculiar, MO; his daughter, Andrea Wilson, and husband, Mark, Creighton, MO; his son, Mark Todd, Harrisonville, MO; his step-son, Dale McConville, and wife, Ruthie, Warrensburg, MO; his step-daughter, Emily Lay, and husband, Eric, Holden, MO; two brothers: Keith Todd, and wife, Jayne, Peculiar, MO; and Doyle Todd, Peculiar, MO; a sister, Gayla Mills, and husband, Jeff, Peculiar, MO; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
