Otts attended Pleasant Ridge Grade School and graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1946.
He served two years of 1-W service in Topeka, from 1952 to 1954.
He was a member of the Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge, where he sang in the Mennonite Men's Chorus.
Otts was united in marriage to Mary Ann Neufeld on March 31, 1957 in Moundridge. They shared 68 years of marriage together.
He was a lifelong truck driver, working for WL Kaufman, Hesston Corporation, Guerdon Industries, Dalke Propane, and 24 years for Mid Kansas Co-op of Moundridge driving feed trucks and as a fertilizer applicator. He retired in 1991.
Upon retirement, he began woodworking and wood crafting. He also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Waltner of Moundridge; sons, Alan (Tina) Waltner of Moundridge, and Scott (Kendra) Waltner of Moundridge; daughters, Julia Waltner of Kettle Falls, WA, and Sandra (Stephen) Koontz of Benton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Marilyn) Waltner of Denver, CO; and sisters, Luene (LaVerne) Flickinger of Moundridge, and Marianne Seacat of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Waltner; sisters, Delene Goering and Marjean Stucky; grandson, Anthony Bowers, Jr.; and great-grandson, Gad Waltner.
Private family burial will take place at Eden Church Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Eden Mennonite Church. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 11 at the Moundridge Funeral Home, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Eden Mennonite Church or Pine Village in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
