Oscar Betts, Jr., 84, of Rossville, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Collierville, TN. Mr. Betts was born May 6, 1931 to the late Oscar and Eva Kelly Betts in Memphis. He attended Humes High School, worked several years for the Shelby County Sheriff Department and was a retired paver in the Construction Business. He was a member of Collierville Assembly of God and he loved to go to and perform at gospel singings. Mr. Betts was a pilot and received his Jet rating certification while he was in his 70's. He was preceded in life by his first wife, Linnie Ann Betts in 2003. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Jane Betts; 3 sons, David, Dewey and Rodney Betts; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12pm - 2pm with services at 2pm on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Collierville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens on Germantown Rd. in Bartlett.
