Oscar “Bubba” Boyd, Jr. age 48 of College Grove, TN passed away September 27, 2023. Bubba was born January 27, 1975 in Franklin, TN to Butch and Sharon Boyd. He worked with Mac Construction as a truck driver, mechanic and heavy equipment operator. Bubba was such a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. As a young man he enjoyed riding horses and later in life his passion became riding Harley Davidsons.
Bubba is survived by his wife, Roxana Torres Boyd; daughters, Kaitlyn, McKenzie, Monika and Riley; stepchildren, Mateo and Siara Castro; sister, Angie (Scott) Goodman; father, Butch (Amy) Boyd and special nephews, Dustin and Wesley Goodman. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Stinson Boyd and grandparents, Ralph and Ethel Walker Boyd and Bill and Mary Edna Stinson.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home with visitation starting at 11:00AM until service time at 2:00PM, with Howard Rucker officiating. Burial will follow at Triune Cemetery. George Lamb, Jr, Tommy Lamb, Jeff Cantrell, Daniel Lamb, Scott Goodman, Wesley Goodman, Dustin Goodman and Sam Lamb will service pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Mac Construction, George Boyd, Jayme Boyd, Adam Fox, Chris Haynes, Brian Haley, Chris Scales, Carlos Torres, Todd Thomas Tyrone Riddley, Nathan Scales, Trey Belton, Sterlin Edwards, extended family and friends and long-time time College Grove buddies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oscar Boyd Memorial Fund.
