Dad was born in Collinsworth County Texas to Marvin and Mae Duke, he was the 7th of 8 children and was proceeded in death by his 6 siblings and his daughter Shirley. Dad is survived by his sister Brenda Lee of Tulare, CA and the love of his life Edna Faye Duke, they were married for 71 years, and his 5 remaining children, Michael Duke, Roger Duke, Dennis Duke, Staci Emerson and Traci Duke. 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Dad worked as an equipment designer and plant foreman, designing equipment to process tree bark into decorative landscape materials

My deepest condolences and Prayers for Edna and her children...
I grew up next door to the Duke family. I remember Jack as a very talented and resourceful man. He could build or fix just about anything. Back about 1965 the Stingray bicycle was very popular and expensive. Jack got a good deal on some used bicycle parts. He was able to build 3 nice looking Stingray style bikes for Michael, Roger, and Dennis. Complete with bobbed rear fenders, a banana seat, new paint job, plus ape hanger handle bars. All the kids in the neighborhood were very impressed. He may have built one for Shirley as well a little later.He was a hero to all his kids, they all looked up to him with the highest respect.
Jack had a positive influence on my life too, and I was fortunate to have grown up next door to him and his family. He will definitely be missed by all that knew him...
