Oscar Jr Obituary
He was born July 23, 1981 to Dalia Briones Sanchez and Oscar Sanchez Sr. in Lockney, Tx. He was a graduate of Floydada High School. He was known to many as "Big O" and loved to give everyone he met a hard time in a playful way. He had a smile that would light up the room and would always have his clothes pressed and his shoes spotless. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies, cooking, and loved barbecuing for them while having a good time listening to his rap music. He was also very competitive when playing against Jathan on their Xbox/PlayStation 5 games. He had a soft spot for his only granddaughter, Everly, and cared for her since she was 2 months old. He was able to watch her grow into the smart little girl she's become. He left us with so many great memories, and we will forever cherish them.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maria and Juan Briones (Floydada), paternal grandparents, Santos and George "Choche" Sanchez (Floydada), step father, Roland Trevino, aunt and uncle, Rosa and Mario Cortez (Lubbock), uncle and nephew, Victor "Chino" Briones and Elias Briones of Floydada, Tx, aunt, Linda Ascencio (Floydada), uncle, Juan Sanchez (Floydada), and cousin, Jorge Sanchez III (Floydada).
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dalia Briones Sanchez, his father, Oscar Sanchez, his brother, Michael Sanchez, the mother of his children, Tessa Sanchez, and his children, Anyssa D'Nae Sanchez, Ariana Lisset Sanchez, and Jathan Sanchez, and one beloved granddaughter, Everly Rae Sanchez, who was the apple of his eye and his whole world. His sister-in-law, Amanda Sanchez and his niece, Serenity Dalany Sanchez, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many more.
