Oscar Oswaldo Munguia 24, lifelong resident of Chicago's south-side, currently residing in Joliet, passed away unexpectedly March 2, 2025. Devoted son of Oscar Munguia and Loretta Hernandez; beloved grandson of Dolores Vasquez; loving father of Avery Munguia; cherished brother of John Hernandez, D.J. (Gabriel) Mar Munguia, Javier Munguia, Jessica Munguia, Lorena (Osvaldo) Muniz, late Sandra Munguia, Cynthia Munguia, Haley Munguia and Oscar (Kaycee) Munguia ; dearest cousin of Bianca Avila, Angel Ayala, Isabel Ayala, Sergio Heim, and Damien Heim; fond nephew of Lupe Hernandez, Kimberly Heim, and John Heim and Christian Heim; also survived by numerous caring nephews, Lio, Liam, Logan, Skylar, Cristian, Aven, Taiyin, Ivan, Julian, Kalel, & Fabian. Nieces, Ariel, Katherine, Jeanette, Ziya, Kaeda and Alyzah.
Oscar was described as a person with outgoing personality. He loved taking video's and photos, and could light up the room with his bright smile and contagious laugh. You always knew when Oscar was around by the smell of his favorite cologne. He enjoyed basketball, baseball, playing X-Box, and Roblox with his nephews. Some of his favorite foods included tacos and enchiladas. Oscar will always be remembered and never forgotten by all who knew him. May he forever Rest In Peace.
Visitation at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, 60638 Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 3-8 PM. Funeral Service Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Burial St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
