Oscar "Buddah" Pedro Salazar, born on September 5, 1992, in Tucson, Arizona, passed away in his hometown on December 7, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, God Father and friend, cherished by all who knew him.
Oscar was the son of Sergio Oscar Salazar and Gloria Martinez. He was a proud brother to Sergio G. Salazar (Savannah), Oscar took great joy in being a loving uncle to his nephews, Christian, Giovani, Gael, and his godson, Estevan, as well as his niece, Analiyah Salazar. He shared a special bond with his family and was deeply honored to play the role of "nino" and "tio," which brought him immense pride and happiness.
His sparkling personality was a bright light in the lives of many. Friends and family remember Oscar as a funny and outgoing individual, whose sense of humor and playful spirit could lift anyone's mood. While he could be a bit grouchy at times, those closest to him knew that underneath laid a heart full of love and care for others. Oscar's laughter and jovial nature made gatherings special, and he was well-known for his jokester ways.
In his free time, Oscar enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He had a passion for shooting guns and spent countless hours honing that skill. He found immense joy in family gatherings, particularly cherishing the moments spent with his niece and nephews. A true sports enthusiast, Oscar could often be found cheering passionately for his favorite team, the Las Vegas Raiders, making every game an exciting event.
A visitation will be held in his honor on December 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Martinez Funeral Chapels in Tucson, AZ. Following this, a Rosary will take place at 9:30 AM. A Mass will be celebrated at Santa Cruz Catholic Church at 11:00 AM, leading up to his final resting place at Holy Hope Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
Oscar "Buddah" Pedro Salazar will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His memory will forever be cherished, and the love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
