Osvaldo Filsaime Dessables Obituary La vida de Osvaldo (RoRo) Fils-Aime fue un ejemplo de resiliencia y dedicación. Nacido en La Romana, República Dominicana, hijo de Lamercie y Archang Fils-Aime, fue el quinto de trece hermanos. Tras los disturbios políticos en la República Dominicana, buscó nuevas oportunidades en Haití, donde se unió a las fuerzas armadas haitianas, para luego regresar a la República Dominicana.
Trabajó incansablemente como supervisor en la fábrica de caña de azúcar de Central Romana Corporation, defendiendo a sus compañeros de trabajo como representante sindical y apoyando a los migrantes haitianos. Gracias a su arduo trabajo, la empresa le proporcionó una vivienda, que aún conserva en la actualidad.
En 1973, conoció al amor de su vida, Carmen Forchu, con quien se casaría más tarde, y de esa unión nacieron sus cinco hijas: Christina Mercedes, Loida, Yngrid, Gabriella y Maria.
En 2003, Osvaldo y su familia se mudaron a Estados Unidos. Allí se reencontró con la familia que había dejado atrás, que ahora conformaba una próspera red familiar. Trabajó durante más de 15 años en una fábrica de perfumes hasta que se jubiló a los 75 años. El 19 de enero, Osvaldo falleció plácidamente mientras dormía. Le sobreviven su esposa Carmen, sus hijas Christina Mercedes, Loida (Pedro), Yngrid, Gabriella (Christian) y María. Sus nietos: Stephany Hernández, Cesar Osvaldo Fils-Aime, Cristopher Alejandro Fils-Aime, Ana Cristal de Luna, Sergio David Filsaime, Leslie Marie Cedillo Fils-Aime, Karen Isabel Arévalo Fils-Aime, Nashaly Nicole Guerra Fils-Aime, Neptali Martin Medina Fils-Aime, Brittany Alison Medina Fils-Aime, Ashley Marieliz Hernández Fils-Aime, su bisnieta Keiry Rosemary Morales Hernández, su hermano Amos Fils-Aime (Yolette), su cuñada Ana y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. Su legado es de fortaleza, compasión y amor.
Osvaldo (RoRo) Fils-Aime life was a testament to resilience and dedication. Born in La Romana, Dominican Republic, to Lamercie and Archang Fils-Aime, he was the 5th of 13 children. After political unrest in Dominican Republic , he pursued opportunities in Haiti, joining the Haitian armed forces, and later returned to the Dominican Republic.
He worked tirelessly as a supervisor for Central Romana Corporation Sugarcane factory, advocating for his coworkers as a union representative and supporting Haitian migrants. His hard work earned him company-paid housing, which remains his today.
In 1973, He met the love of his life Carmen Forchu they would later marry and from that union came blessings of their 5 girls: Christina Mercedes, Loida, Yngrid, Gabriella, and Maria.
In 2004, Osvaldo and his family moved to the US. There he was reunited with his family he left behind, now a thriving family network . He worked over 15 years at a Perfume factory until retiring at 75.
On January 18th Osvaldo fell asleep in death peacefully. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Carmen, his daughters Christina Mercedes, Loida(Pedro) , Yngrid, Gabriella(Christian), and Maria. His Grandchildren: Stephany Hernandez,

His legacy is one of strength, compassion, and love.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday, January 31st, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
