Otis Harold Brach, 96, of Fairfield, Illinois, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Otis was born on the family farm in Cisne, Illinois to Arthur and Rachel (McNeely) Brach on December 31, 1928. He was united in marriage with Carol Bond on July 15, 1972, in Sanford, Maine.

A well-known businessman, Otis operated Fairfield Tire and Battery for many years. He spent a lifetime uplifting countless lives through quiet acts of kindness and generous philanthropy. Otis was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Additionally, he was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion, Lions Club, VFW, and the Old Egyptian Car Club. Many will remember his love of classic cars as he enjoyed participating in car shows and parades.

Otis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol; a daughter, Kathy Draper; and a son, Rodney (Joslin) Brach, all of Fairfield. He leaves behind grandchildren: Bryan (Lori) Draper, Lisa (Robin) Jones, Nathan (Angie) Jones, Jennifer (Caleb) Dunn, Nikki (Jason McKitrick) Brach, Matthew (Bridgett) Brach, Leif Tucker, Elle Tucker, and Kadie Reid; and great-grandchildren: Alec Draper, Leah (Kaitie) Draper, Landan Draper, Bronson (Haley) Jones, Colin Jones, Aiden Dunn, Charli Jones, Sagan Dunn, Jayce Clark, Rhett Brach, Luxton Brach, Lockley Brach, and Korbyn McKitrick; and great-great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Alec, and Serenity Draper. He will also be missed by his special dog, Joe.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vicki Jones; his brothers, Orlen Brach and Lon Brach; and a sister, Maxine Talbert.

Services will be held at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield with visitation on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and the funeral at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 8, 2025. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield.
