Otis Pate Obituary
Mr. Pate was born March 13, 1929 to the late Rena Holsonback in West Durham, NC. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy at the close of World War II. Mr. Pate retired as an electrical supervisor from American Tobacco Company. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-sister, Geraldine Wilson.
Mr. Pate is survived by his wife, Erma Jean Pate of Mebane; son, David B. Pate (Kim) of Mebane; grandsons, Christopher Pate of Raleigh and Matthew Pate (Taylor) of Hurdle Mills; sister-in-law, JoAnne Thomas (Eddie); niece, Kelly Wilson Celis (Jose) and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Gerald Goodwin. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Durham Memorial Baptist Church, 133 Robbins Road, Durham, NC 27703.
