Mrs. Ouida was born June 25, 1942, in Jackson County, Florida, to the late Sanford Clyde Cook, Sr., and Ouida Kirkland Cook. She was a gifted seamstress working at Vanity Fair Mills in Graceville until its closure and then continuing with the Shirt Factory in Bonifay until her retirement. Above all, Mrs. Ouida enjoyed making clothes and gifts for her family and friends.

Survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Jim'r Register; one son, Anthony Register (Donna); two daughters, Sheila Blankenship (Stan), and Lori Burlew (Randy); six grandchildren, Jessica Ludwig (Kellen), Jennifer Padgett (Greg), Brittany Smith (Scott), Becca Jones (Jeff), Heather Davis (Dustin), Megan Ward, Cody Brentner, and Eric Bolenbaugh, eleven great-grandchildren, Savannah Ludwig, Shelby Ludwig, Mason Ludwig, Brody Padgett, Charlotte Padgett, Ella Padgett, Blakeley Smith, Baylor Smith, Sutton Smith, Makenna Davis, Bentley Ward; sister Myra Kimbrel (John), brothers Truman Cook (Iris), and Wayne Cook, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ouida was a dedicated wife, a dear sister, a wonderful mother (and mother-in-law), and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She always put others' needs first and set a shining example, living a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She married the love of her life, and together, Ouida and Jim'r built a home filled with laughter, faith, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy came from caring for her family. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always offering gentle wisdom, warm hugs, and endless encouragement.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong faith, sense of humor, love of cooking, gardening, and sewing. Her compassion touched everyone she met, and her legacy of love and devotion will live on in all who knew her.
Her love was a steady light that will continue to guide us. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
