Ova Dycus

Ova Dycus, age 88 of Lee's Summit passed away on September 28th at Jefferson Health Care Center in Lee's Summit. She was born June 20, 1919 in Stone County Missouri to Ethel and Bill Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Bessie Spikert, Bertha Lawrence and Nova Gelhorn, and one brother Howard Warren. She is survived by her son William D Dycus and his wife Nancy of Lee's Summit, two grandchildren, Sean Dycus and his wife Jennifer of Lee's Summit and Kimberly Mangels and her husband Marlin of Pullman, Washington. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ova was an independent business woman. She owned and operated the Dycus School of Beauty in Kansas City. She also owned and managed property in the midtown area. During the war years she worked at the Pratt Whitney Plant. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother and grandmother.
