Ovetta Louise Sheaffer, 64, of Carlisle, passed away on November 16th, 2025.
Born in Carlisle, on January 21st, 1961, Ovetta is the daughter of the late Leroy and Margaret (Danner) Grimes.
Ovetta is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Alfred Sheaffer, her daughter, Courtney Moose, (husband Shawn) , her son, Jay Sheaffer, (wife Renee), her grandchildren, Hannah Bear, Kelly Beadon, Rachel Beadon, John Beadon, Hannah Beadon, her great grandson, Theodore Beadon, her siblings, Christine Stine, (husband Russ), Perry Grimes, (wife Tracy), George Grimes, (wife Dawn), and several nieces and nephews.
Ovetta is preceded in death by her parents as well as her niece, Bonni Myers.
Ovetta enjoyed spending time with her family, sitting on her front porch and listening to the wind chimes, watching the hummingbirds, going to flea markets and antique shows, watching Hell's Kitchen, and watching her son race at the Shippensburg Racetrack. She loved nature and had the ability to talk to anyone. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the Lighthouse Worldwide International Church, 535 Mt Rock Rd, Newville, PA 17241.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ovetta's honor to the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, ( https://www.kfcp.org .)
