Gerald K. Wolfe, 89, of Carlisle, passed away November 11, 2025, at Brookdale Grandon Farms Senior Living Center.

Born December 22, 1935, he was the son of the late Paul L. and Viola (Stum) Wolfe.

Gerald is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dolan of Mechanicsburg and grandsons Connor Dolan and Quinn Dolan of Salt Lake City, UT; his sister Shirley Richardson of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Rollin and Paul Wolfe.

He was a graduate of Carlisle High School class of 1954 and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. Following his military service, he was employed by CH Masland & Sons as a draftsman for 35+ years before retiring.

He was a member of the Carlisle VFW and Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299. He was a long-time member of the Brethren in Christ Church (The Meeting House) in Carlisle.

Gerald was an avid sportsman. He loved attending local baseball, basketball and football high school games. He was especially proud of his grandsons at their sporting events and could always be found actively cheering them on in the crowd and on the sidelines. While serving in the Army, he participated in a men’s baseball league. He loved to golf and was also a member of several bowling leagues and golf leagues throughout the years.

After retiring he found great joy in gardening and woodworking. He prided himself in refurbishing old furniture that he would pick up at local auctions and flea markets.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a memorial contribution in his honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
