Owaissa Lu Fallwell, passed away peacefully at her home, on October 27, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on June 14, 1952, to Ben and Colleen Kerr, in Roswell, N.M.
Owaissa was an accomplished pianist. She didn't just play the music; she inhabited it. New life was brought to every piece. She was its master. Music was her life. When not performing at many various venues, Owaissa was sharing her expertise with her piano students. She taught for 50 years. Her teacher-student relationship went beyond lessons Owaissa was a mentor, coach, and friend who genuinely cared about her student's development, both as musicians and people.
Owaissa also enjoyed designing pottery and painting landscapes. Her eye for detail was exceptional.
She dearly loved her dogs which gave her much comfort throughout her life.
Owaissa is preceded in death by her father, Ben Kerr. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael Fallwell, mother, Colleen Kerr, sisters, Kandy Crotsley and Sally Kerr.
Special thanks to Tessie West and Sharyn Armstrong for all their love and support to Owaissa and Mike.
"Life is like a piano; the white keys represent happiness and the black show sadness. But as you go through life's journey, remember that the black keys also create music."
