Pablo Sanchez

Born and raised in Crystal City TX, to Pantaleon and Josefa Sanchez. Pablo married Elvira Trevino in 1945 and together raised three sons and three daughters. Pablo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed watching western movies and wrestling matches, sitting outside to take in the fresh air, and reminiscing cherished memories with his loved ones. These quiet moments brought him comfort and happiness and reflected his deep love for family. Pablo was a devoted and hardworking man whose strong work ethic, perseverance, and dedication for providing for his family defined his life. He took immense pride in his work and was known for his reliability, humility, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Pablo passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2026, at the age of 101, with his daughter Vera by his side.

Pablo was preceded in death by: his parents, and all seven of his siblings. Pantaleon, Salome, Juan, Martina, Emma, Elosia, and Carmen. Pablo was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Elvira Trevino Sanchez, his three sons: Pablo Sanchez Jr., Joe Sanchez, and Gilbert Sanchez, his eldest daughter Gloria Cantu, Grandchildren: Debbie Lynn, and Philip Munoz, Great-Grandchildren: Jennifer Faz, and Nick Sanchez.

Those left to cherish his memories are: two daughters Vera Faz (Domingo), and Lupe Vasquez (Eliseo), His adored 13 Grand Children: Paul Sanchez III, Leo Sanchez, Elizbeth Faz, James Faz, Gilbert Sanchez Jr., Angie Lambaria, Abel Mendoza, Jesse Cantu, Jerry Cantu, Alex Tijerina, Raquel Salinas, Raven Vasquez, and Brittany Vasquez, 35 Great-Grand Children & 35 Great-Great Grand Children.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Cantu, Jonathan Cantu, Jerry Cantu, Michael Salinas, Gilbert Sanchez, and Gilbert Esai Sanchez.
