Don, sorry for your loss. Even though we worked about 150 miles apart, Palma always had a nice smile and greeting for me when I visited the Albany office.

It was always a pleasure and an interesting conversation when Palma stopped by your work desk. Rest in peace dear. Don, you´re in my thoughts.

Aunt Palma was not only my Aunt and Godmother, but she was my best friend. This picture was taken at one of our birthdays at one of the hibachi restaurants. It was always a tradition to go out to eat on our birthdays. It´s something she always looked forward to. I got married to my partner in August 2022 and she was heavily involved in the planning of the wedding. We would talk about flower arrangements and desserts and cookies constantly. All she ever wanted to do was help. She was very happy that we included her in the planning and it was something she looked forward to. I know my wedding day was one of the happiest days of her life as was mine. I was so fortunate to have her for in my life for 34 years. My heart is shattered. Life will not be the same without her. I love you, Auntie. May you rest in peace.

I knew Palma while working at the Office of Equalization and Assessment (now Real Property) many years ago. I've told this story many times over the years. While on a trip to Italy (also many years ago) I was standing in the Sistine Chapel looking upward of course when I felt a tap on my shoulder from behind. I turned to look and could not believe my eyes. It was Palma! I knew she was going on a trip but did not expect to see her in Italy! Palma was such a great girl and will always be a part of my fond memories of my coworkers at E and A so long ago.
