Obituary of Palmer Trent Wiley
Palmer Trent Wiley, age 91, of Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Juanita (Combs) Wiley, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his home in Harrodsburg, KY. Born January 21, 1933, in Parksville KY, to the late WIlliam Thomas Wiley and the late Evelyn (Gaddis) Dunn. Palmer was a retired Insurance Agent with Commonwealth Insurance Company and worked as a technician for Duriron Dayton. He was a member of Bohon Road Baptist Church. He also enjoyed gardening and watching all the things grow and traveling, but above all he loved reading the Bible and watching different ministers on television.
He is survived by his wife: Juanita Wiley, three sons: Ronald (Linda) Wiley of Loveland, OH, Mark Wiley of OH and Gary Wiley of Danville, KY ; one stepdaughter: Dana (Marshel) Herring of Harrodsburg, one sister: Shirley Johnson of Danville, KY; four grandchildren; Carloyn, Catherine, Michael and Daniel; three stepgrandchildren; Mark, Matthew and Michelle; one great grandchild; Riley; five step great grandchildren; Macy, Sydney, Natalie, Max and Matthew; one nephew, Eddie Johnson and several great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Homer Phillips, stepson, Michael Wayne Darland, and great-great grandson.
The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, January 15 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Justin Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Harrodsburg on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Pallbearers: Eddie Johnson, David Combs, Darrell Combs, Edwin Combs, Brent Combs, Don Rightmyer, Rev. Ken Calia and Rick Wontorek.
Memorials have been suggested to be made to Gideons Memorial Bibles, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg KY, 40330.
