It's hard to put into words what Pam, and the whole McGrath family for that matter, meant to my brothers and me growing up in Sedalia. Our parents were the closest of friends and the McGrath girls were almost like sisters to us. The memories are too many to share. I so seldom got back to Sedalia during my adult life but always made it my business to stop in at Pam's restaurants.
To Teresa, my classmate and dear friend growing up, my deepest sympathy. Please know you are in my thoughts.

Condolences to Pam's family & friends. I met her once at Old Missouri Homestead when passing through Sedalia on a trip. She was a driven gal & she made our visit a fun one! RIP Pam

Pam, I will never forget the time you came to our house to pick up Jack. He was in a cast from his waist down, but you decided you all were going to the drive in. Got him settled in the back and I sat up front with you. You were so kind to "Jacks little sister!" A memory I will never forget. You had a very well lived life, rest easy. Condolences to your family.

Over the past few years it was a privilege to reconnect with Pam and share her family´s history and contributions to Sedalia history going back to the Cassidy family, and her leadership in the Old Missouri Homestead and McGraths. We were students in Sacred Heart grade school, and parishioners. Rest in Peace, Pam.

I met Pam in the South End of Boston in the early 1970s. She was living with a friend who I went to visit. We talked and I photographed her during the afternoon. She was lovely and funny.
I had been reviewing my old negatives and found the images of Pam and I was trying to locate her to let her know about the images. She had stayed connected with my friends and I contacted her through Facebook. We spoke a the phone discussing the paths our lives took. We talk a bit more and texted. She posted the images on Facebook.
It was fantastic to follow-up on one of my photo subjects and to hear about her life over the decades. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to connect with her.
The loss is devastating for everyone who knew her. I was so fortunate to have that experience.

Pam's passing just saddens me. We made it a point to dine at McGrath's whenever we visited Sedalia from Lincoln, NE. She had ties with our Missouri family, the Reque's. Donna and I offer our sincere condolences to Pam's family & friends.
