I met Jim when he moved to Wilmore after his wife passed away. He attended our church and I would often see him walking around town with his walking stick. We often ran into each other on the Seminary Campus where I work. We would stop and talk about life and Jesus. His kindness and genuineness and zeal for life and to keep moving were inspiring to me. Even though I only knew him a short time, I'm glad to have had him as a friend.

It was my privilege and blessing to have known Jim for 60 years. He was a remarkable brother-in-law who was a perfect husband for my sister, Liz. He was a wonderful uncle for my own kids, whom they remember dearly. We cherish his memory and miss him already.
