Pamela Susan Nowinski Pamela Susan Nowinski, 74, of Rexford, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home. Born on March 1, 1950 in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Helene Szpak Nowinski. Pam was a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Schenectady and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Nazareth University in Rochester. Pam then began her career in Rochester while continuing her education at Buffalo State University, receiving her master's degree in social work. Pam was employed with the NYS Department of Social Services in Rochester for over 20 years until her retirement. After retirement, Pam moved back to the local area living in Schenectady until moving to her dream home on the river in Rexford. Survivors include her brother, Gary Nowinski of Lakewood, CO; her lifelong friend, Arliss Rafferty of Schenectady; aunts, uncles and several cousins. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St., Schenectady. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Glenville, NY 12302.
