Pam Westfall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aria Cremation Service and Funeral Home - Northwest Highway on Jun. 14, 2024.
Pamela Jean Westfall, or Pam as she was lovingly known, was a shining example of love, kindness, and grace. Her passion for music, family, and faith touched the lives of all those around her.
Pam was born on January 7, 1954, in Little Rock, AR, to Maggie Jean and Wesley A. Neese. She passed away on June 10, 2024 in Dallas at the age of 70. Pam grew up in Dallas, TX, alongside her brother Wesley M. Neese. She graduated from Lake Highlands High School and went on to pursue her passion for music at Southern Methodist University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 1976. It was during her time at SMU that she met her beloved husband, Jim. Pam furthered her education at Texas Woman's University, earning a Master of Fine Arts in Voice with a major in Vocal Performance in 1979. For 29 years, Pam dedicated herself to teaching music at St. John's Episcopal School, where she impacted countless students with her love for music. She was an active member of various Dallas area choirs and churches, always ready to share her gift of music with others.
Pam found joy in spending time with her family, especially at the beach, and was known for her caring and giving nature. Pam is survived by her loving husband, James Westfall Jr.; her children, James Westfall III and Carolyn Westfall; her granddaughter, Ava Westfall; her brother, Wesley M. Neese; as well as extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 848 Harter Rd., Dallas, TX, on June 26, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with a reception to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Pam would be greatly appreciated.
Pam was a beacon of light to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. May her memory live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Mrs. Westfall was my kindergarten music teacher. My mother having passed away, she paid special attention to me and was a true friend. She gave me a chance to shine in our music class performances. She became a very close friend of my family, coming to hear me sing in church and performing for my church several times herself. I am a better person today for having a loving teacher like her. She is so missed. Thank you Mrs. Westfall, I will always remember you fondly. Love, your student, Ms. Kevyn Brooke Anderson
