Pamela Annette Holley, 61, passed away on November 24, 2025, at her home in Jefferson City. She was born on April 6, 1964, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, to Larry McDonald and Patricia Barnes.

?

Pamela grew up in both Missouri and Mississippi, graduating from high school and later from Copiah–Lincoln Community College with an Associate's Degree in Journalism. She later continued her education at the University of Missouri–Columbia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology.

?

She devoted her professional life to environmental hazardous-waste assessment and remediation, beginning her career in Missouri and ultimately developing a portfolio that included complex domestic and international projects. Her work reflected a lifelong commitment to protecting the environment and the communities she served; she approached every challenge with expertise, diligence, and integrity.

Outside of her career, Pamela had a vibrant personality. She loved bingo, K-Pop, progressive politics, and rock and mushroom "hunting". She also enjoyed fishing-though she would readily admit that catching fish was rarely her strong suit.

She is survived by her mother: Patricia Barnes; daughter: Samantha Holley; brother and bonus sister: Kevin and Mary McDonald; nieces and nephews: Rebecca Stone, Amanda Fenn, Daniel McDonald, Aaron McDonald, and Quinten McDonald; and her loving shih-tzu: Monkie.

Pamela was preceded in death by her father: Larry McDonald.

She will be remembered for her steady strength, her sharp intellect, and the warmth she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.

Services for Pamela will be private for the family.

Arrangements for Ms. Holley are under the direction of TYLER M. WOODS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, 611 E. Capitol Ave. Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.
