Pamela Renee “Renee” Ayers King, age 64, passed away on November 21, 2025. Originally from Hanceville, Alabama, Renee made her home for many years in Blountsville and Cullman, where she lived a good life surrounded by the people she loved. She was born on February 13, 1961, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to the late Fay Reen Tucker and the late Donald Jasper Ayers.
Renee is survived by her children, Derek Allen King (Shanna), Seth Adam King (Candace), and Justin Wade King (Danielle); her grandchildren, Anna Leigh King, Jordan King (Michigan), Isaiah King, Annabell King, Henry King; and her great-grandchildren, Jaycee King and Sarah King. She is also survived by her sisters, Michelle Ayers Morton (Glenn) and Leah Monica Ayers Blalock, along with a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A devoted homemaker, Renee also spent many years as a bus driver for J.B. Pennington School, where she was known for her straightforward kindness and easy warmth. She coached, worked concessions, and was an all-around good team mom who stayed involved in all of her boys’ sports.
Renee had a bright, cheerful spirit and a smile that could fill a room. She was full of funny stories, loved snuggles and thunderstorms, and never turned down a good scary movie. Above all, she was most proud of her three sons—the men they became, the husbands and fathers they are, and the families they built. They were truly her greatest joy.
Services will be held Monday, November 24, at Holly Pond Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service following in the chapel.
Renee will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
