Joe Lynn Whitworth

Joe Lynn Whitworth, 83, a long-time resident of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on November 14, 2025. Mr. Whitworth was born in Blount County, Alabama, on March 22, 1942, to the late Jesse and Imogene Whitworth.

Mr. Whitworth is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

Those left to cherish Joe’s memory include his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Carol Whitworth; daughters, Donna Shikles (Rodney), Denise Sivley (Tim), Danett Taylor (Russell); brother, Johnny Whitworth (Sherry); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Friends are invited to join the Whitworth family on Monday, November 17, 2025, for a time of visitation, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and concluding at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow visitation, beginning at 1:00 p.m., where Russell Taylor will officiate. Both visitation and funeral services will be held in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow services in Liberty Hill Cemetery where Justin Shikles, Cody Sivley, Dylan Whisenant, Chris Mahan, Bailey Watts, and Matt Lee will serve as pallbearers with Tim Sivley and Rodney Shikles serving as honorary pallbearers.
