James J. Earl, 80, of Holly Pond, Alabama, passed away on Friday evening, October 17th, 2025. Mr. Earl was born on November 14, 1944, in Cullman County, Alabama, to the late Harlen James Earl and the late Ellen Louise Bates Earl.
Mr. Earl is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Shawn Tipton; and grandson, Anthony Pippin.

Mr. Earl was a member of Redan Missionary Baptist Church. James had an outgoing personality, and he never met a stranger. He was a hard worker who stayed busy all the time. Mr. Earl loved his country, and his servant heart led him to serve six years in the Alabama National Guard where he trained regularly and was prepared to serve our nation at a moment’s notice, given he was called to do so.
James had a special bond with his dog, Blackie, but his love for his family was even greater. James adored his family, and he never missed an event that his children or grandchildren participated in. He was always there - supporting and encouraging them in their many endeavors.
