Jerry Wayne Thomason, known to most as “Albert”, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026, at the age of 59. Mr. Thomason was born on May 23, 1966, in Blount County, Alabama, to R.C. Thomason and Ivy Marie Howell Thomason.
Albert was a life-long resident of Blountsville, Alabama, and a member of High Rock Church in Hayden, Alabama. Mr. Thomason loved the water and was a lifeguard and competitive swimmer in his younger years. He also loved to be on the lake and enjoyed fishing. Albert was a good and honest man who worked hard as a carpenter, a trade he had worked in since he was fourteen years old. He enjoyed Alabama football and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed by many.
Those preceding Mr. Thomason in death include his parents, and his siblings, Patricia Davis, Rachel Howell, Jimmy Thomason, Tommy Thomason, Johnny Thomason, Ronny Thomason, and Donny Thomason.
Albert’s memory will be cherished by his brothers, Barry Thomason and Terry Thomason; daughter in heart, Kaylah; grandchild in heart, Liam; special niece, Jamie (Rodney) Johns; dear friends, Danny and Teresa Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and friends.
Friends are invited to join the Thomason family for funeral services on Friday, January 30, 2026, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, where Danny Collins will officiate. Services begin at 12:00 noon, and burial will immediately follow in High Rock Cemetery, in Hayden, Alabama.
Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Thomason family.
