Pamela Ann Chioffi
Rutland –Pamela Ann Chioffi, 77 a resident of our house at 69 Allen St passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, 2026, after a prolonged battle with lymphatic cancer. Pam had battled the demons in a mental health challenge for better than 60 years and has finally found peace and is in the loving arms of her Lord a well-deserved eternal rest.
Pam was the daughter of William (Bill) Chioffi and Marie hazel (Merling) Chioffi and was known by her many friends as one of the dearest and sweetest young ladies throughout her younger years. She was so proud of her Hospital Cotillion participation as she was so meticulous about her dress and appearance. Always with a smile, sometimes one of those devilish little smiles that just told you she was about to recall one of the many beautiful encounters she had with friends over the years. Pam never met a stylish dress, sweater, coat, or shoes that she didn't instantly just have to have. She was definitely the FASHION QUEEN, and she wore that title with pride.
Pam loved her family gatherings, usually at Don and Marcia (Tumielewicz) Chioffi" s home, her brother and sister-in-law, where she would always ask for her favorite treat, a moderate Kalua Sombrero--- which she would always have to be cautioned to "just sip, Pam"! Pam had a special love for her niece, Lisa Ann (Chioffi) Hotchkiss and that love was always returned tenfold since she was also Lisa's Godmother. She and her nephew William (Bill) Chioffi would often trade witty comments, and laughter would embrace the whole room.
No person should have to endure the pain and trauma that Pam so stoically accepted as her fate in life, and we know that our God has a very special reward for one of His faithful. Her journey of 60 years was made so much more bearable thanks to the very professional care provided by our house owner Paula Patorti, her husband, Patsy, and the entire staff. In those final moments we thank Hospice and the Rutland Area Visiting Nurses for making her journey pain free, a very special thank you to Teddi Loveko for her professionalism and friendship in Pams' final days and also to Father Dwight MacPherson for his comforting words of god's love and for administering the last rites to Pam on her journey.
We are grateful to God for allowing family to be able to say proper good-bye, with love that only a family can give, and comforting words that she was able to take with her for eternity.
Rest in peace our dear Pam. You lived a very challenging life with the greatest courage.
Godspeed.
A Celebration of Pam's life will be held in the spring.
