Pam Huckaby was a force to be reckoned with. If you needed something done, you just asked her and it got done. To talk to her was interesting, you couldn't get a word. in edgewise, you just listened
Pam, a beloved roller-skating rink owner and cherished member of the Port Neches community, passed away on September 3, 2025, in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on August 12, 1947, in Hearne, Texas, Pam dedicated her life to raising her family.
As the roller rink operator, she took immense pride in watching everyone enjoy themselves skating, which stood out as one of her proudest accomplishments. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made her rink a special place for many families and friends who gathered to create lasting memories.
Pam was an active member of the Port Neches Chamber of Commerce, showcasing her commitment to her community and its growth. Her involvement highlighted her dedication to fostering connections and promoting local relationships, making a positive impact on those around her.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Roy W. Huckaby, of Port Arthur, along with her sons, Keith Huckaby (Theresa) and Karl Huckaby (Joli), all of Port Arthur. She was a proud grandmother to Keith’s sons Kyle Huckaby (Hope) and Kevin Huckaby (Hannah) and Karl’s daughter Trinity Huckaby and son, Bryce Huckaby. She was a great-grandmother to Kevin’s daughter Katherine. Also, her niece Robin McLemore and her daughters Jessica and Jennifer Boccio.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Donnie Dickey.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Pam's life will be held on September 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, Texas 77651. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and reflecting on the impact she had on their lives. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love and joy she brought to all.
In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Pam's life and love for animals, the family request donations be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, https://humanesocietyofsoutheasttexas.org or No-kill animal shelter of your choice.
