It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela Edwards, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on January 2, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on October 1, 1951 in Washington, IN the daughter of Billy Mack and Joyce (Hedrick) Sparks.
Pam devoted many years of her life to nurturing young minds, first as an aide at North Side Elementary and later as a library assistant at Washington High School. Her dedication to education and her compassionate nature left a lasting impact on both students and staff alike.
Pam attended Bethany Christian Church and found joy and community in her faith. She loved the outdoors, often spending weekends camping and reliving the thrill of water skiing in her younger years. However, her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family, including her husband, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved dogs, Gizmo and Daisy. Pamela’s loving spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and her gentle heart will continue to inspire those she left behind.
Survivors include her husband of fifty three years, Mark Edwards of Washington; mother, Joyce Sparks of Washington; her children, Tess Byrd and her husband Sean of Washington, Billy Edwards, Nick Edwards and his wife Lisa all of Washington; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one on the way. Pam is preceded in death by her father, Billy Mack Sparks.
