Pamela Sue Mitchell went home to her Mother, Father, and the Lord on Friday, May the 16TH in Odessa, TX at the age of 62.
The celebration of life will be on June 7, 2025, from noon till 5 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Odessa, TX. Dress casually as we know she would not have wanted everyone to mourn, but to have a good uplifting time. Mention any fun stories, and a gathering to honor a life well lived with a farewell of love, laughter, and remembrance.
Pam was born in El Paso, TX to Earle R. Brown and Anita H. Grzybowski (Brown) on April 9, 1963. Pamela married Mike Mitchell in 1982 in El Paso, TX, had her first daughter Erin Mitchell in 1985, which was her Easter baby, and then Erika Mitchell on Valentines Day in 1990. They were married for 31 years. She started off her career as a phlebotomist at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX. She flourished in her career over the years, working alongside other hospitals then called her home at Wendover Family Medicine for about 15 years. She was involved as a Girl Scout leader with her daughters selling every cookie they could invent. She was heavily involved in Lutheran church youth groups, in which she designed multiple parade floats, organized all events bringing children and families closer together.
Pam was a woman of many hobbies she enjoyed as a young adult would include bowling, going to concerts, camping and playing games which she shared with her daughters later in life. Pam is survived by Erin Eaton daughter with her husband AJ Eaton & Erika Mitchell daughter with partner Alex Kelley, her sister Shirley Osborne, her favorite nieces Shawn Hughes and DeAnne Arledge. She also was survived by the Hemperley/Martinez/Mitchell family whom she adored very much. She spent her last days with her boyfriend John Kurdziel. Pamela is preceded in death by her father Earle H. Brown and her mother Anita H. Grzybowski.
She was a sassy, quick-witted woman who loved life to its fullest. She loved to have a good time with her friends, family and loved ones. She was a good mom till the end.
