Pamela Payne Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. - East Peoria on Jan. 15, 2026.
Pamela G. Payne, 75, of Pekin, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her home. She was born in Normal, IL on October 5, 1950, to Kenneth and Donna (Blunk) Bean. She married Randy Payne on May 27, 1977, in East Peoria, and they enjoyed over 26 years together until his passing on December 7, 2003.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Curtis) Wesner of Washington and Kimberly (John) Tovrea of Pekin; one brother, Stephen Dennis (Carol) Bean of Excelsior Springs, MO; and beloved grandchildren, Hunter (Kali), Payton, Harley, Tyler (Sabrina), Grady, and Adley.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jo Ann.

Pamela graduated from beauty school and worked at The Personality Beauty Salon in Normal for several years. She later worked at Washington Christian Village as a hairdresser for over 20 years until she retired.

She enjoyed fishing, swimming, and spending time outside, but above all, cherished moments with her grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as Mammaw. She organized her work schedule to spend as much time with them as she could.

She attended Summit Point Church in East Peoria.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Klopfenstein will officiate. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
