David Shute Obituary
Also surviving are his sons, Max (Jennifer) Shute of Valdosta, GA and Truman (Michelle) Shute of Astoria; his sister, Susan (Don) Piestrup of Big Bear Lake, CA; and 4 grandchildren, Abby, Zach, Emily, and Oscar.
David graduated from EPCHS with the Class of 1961, then enlisted in the Army. After his service, he graduated from Bradley University then joined Caterpillar, where he worked as a machinist until he retired.
An avid woodworker, David made all kinds of things from toys to furniture. He even rebuilt his whole house, including all the trim work.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to TAPS in Pekin. Online condolences may be left at www.GaryDeitersFH.com.
