Gates: Saturday, January 7, 2023, at age 95. Predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Musso and her five brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Giuseppa (Filippo) Sampognaro and Cheryl (Michael) Verde; grandchildren, Silvana Brooks, Louis (Kara) Verde, Rosanna Verde, and Giuseppe (Kelly) Sampognaro; great grandchildren, Serena, Adriana, Anthony, Valentina, Nadia, Katherine, Hugh, and Julia; sister, Margherita (Paolo) Saieva; sister-in-law, Eleanora Mantisi; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Paola was a baker in Italy and emigrated to the United States in 1968. She was a seamstress for Bonds and Hickey-Freeman until she retired after the birth of her first granddaughter. From there, her main focus was helping to raise and love her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion was baking and crocheting, sharing her works with loved ones. She was "Nonna" to many and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road. On Friday, January 13, all are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Ave. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
