Katherine Pappas Musso ( 1941 - 2025)
Katherine Pappas Musso was born on August 23, 1941 in Tacoma, Washington, to
Tom Pappas and Christine Pappas. Katherine passed away in the Bronx, New York
on February 25, 2025 a victim of Alzheimer's, a disease that she confronted with
dignity and courage.
Katherine was a highly intelligent, talented and independent person who possessed
a kind heart and a vibrant personality that enriched people and environments. She
was a caring soul and will be sorely missed by those whose lives she positively
touched. She left a legacy of love that will be remembered by those who knew and
loved her as well.
Although she was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Katherine spent most
of her adult life as a resident of New York City. She loved the "Big Apple"! She
completed her graduate studies at Columbia University where she earned two
Master's Degrees, one in English Literature and the other in Business
Administration. After a brief career as a school teacher, Katherine was employed
as a Shipping Broker at Southern Star, an international import/export company,
where she thrived until her retirement.
Katherine was married to Samuel Musso who preceded her in death. She left
surviving her Louis Pappas, her beloved brother, and many relatives and friends
too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Paul in
Hempstead, New York on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. In lieu of cards, flowers or
monetary gifts, please consider making a donation to the American Alzheimer's
