Paolo Cugliari

Paolo Cugliari a longtime resident of White Plains passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the age of 85. Paolo was born on November 5, 1938, in Stefanaconi, Italy to the late Angela Fortuna and Francesco Cugliari. Paolo married the love of his life, Caterina Barbalaco, on April 21, 1968. They were married in their hometown of Stefanaconi. Shortly after their marriage, they migrated to America and settled in White Plains. Paolo worked in construction and later became a landscaper. He owned and operated Villa Verde Landscaper for over 40 years. He worked hard and provided a good life for his wife, daughters and later his grandchildren. He was a member of the Antonio Meucci Lodge #213 in White Plains and the Casa Calabria in New Rochelle. He took great pleasure in working hard. He especially loved spending time with his 5 grandchildren. His favorite pastime was making wine, planting, working in his garden and visiting his family in Italy. Paolo is survived by his loving wife Caterina and daughters Angela (Massimo) Novello and MaryGrace (Biagio) Perrone; his adoring grandchildren: Bianca, Vittoria, Francesco, Paolo and Marco; and his siblings in Italy: Anna, Caterina and Giuseppe Cugliari. He was predeceased by his sister, Isabella Cugliari and many nieces and nephews. His whit and charm will surely be missed.
