Lakisha "Kisha" Cugliari

Lakisha Ann Cugliari, lovingly known as Kisha, passed away on December 17, 2025, at the age of 52.
She leaves behind a legacy marked by purpose, resilience, and deep connection. Her absence is felt profoundly by all who knew her.
Kisha was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Bette Northrop and Hussain A. Az-zaahir. Raised from a young age by her grandparents Emma and Otis Northrop, she grew up alongside several foster siblings. Family played a central role throughout her life. She attended St. Hyacinth and Bishop Gallagher before earning a bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
Kisha dedicated 31 years to a successful career in information technology, working at EDS, Hewlett Packard, and General Motors. She earned numerous certifications and honors including the Women of Color Technology STEM Award. Known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to navigate complexity with clarity, she was highly respected by colleagues and peers. She also pursued various entrepreneurial ventures.
Above all, Kisha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. Her life reflected authenticity and compassion with a deep spirit of selflessness. She and her husband Jason shared a love for fishing, boating, and traveling. Her role as a grandmother to Angelo was one of her greatest joys.
Lakisha leaves to cherish her memory her husband Jason Cugliari; her father, Hussain A. Az-zaahir; her daughters, Jasmine Northrop and Asia Ticconi (Anthony); her sisters, Jacqueline M. Baker (Marc) and Aishah A. Az-zaahir; and her brothers, Robert Northrop, Hatim, Hassan, and Faisal A. Az-zaahir. She is also remembered by extended family members, friends, loved ones, and Bibi, her cherished bearded dragon.
Though her passing came too soon for those of us on earth, Kisha's life was filled with meaning and impact. Her memory will live on through the work she contributed, the people she influenced, and the love she selflessly poured into those around her
