Eileen C. Benoit

Eileen C. Benoit age 84 of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed Friday, February 27, 2026. Born Eileen Cecelia Bachman on May 30,, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to John P. Bachman and Fay V. Bachman (nee; Latt). Following graduation Eileen went to work for the Warren Consolidated School System as a Paraprofessional and later marring her best friend and soul mate, Robert Edward Benoit on November 6, 1965 and began the family that would become the core of many of her fondest memories like camping, school or athletic extracurricular events for the children and grandchildren (and being early enough to have first row seating) or friendly card games like Uno, Euchre, Pinochle and Screw Your Neighbor.

She had a skill and love for Bowling but also loved spending time at their cottage up north where she would often by found reading peacefully on the dock or listening to long time favorites Neil Diamond and the Bee Gees and she loved to watch her Detroit Tigers Baseball, often curled up with one of her beloved foster dogs; a cause she was devoted to throughout her life.

Eileen is survived by her daughters; Suzanne Rachelle Wilson and Shelley Lynn (John) Laskarides and son; Michael Robert (Linda) Benoit, 5 grandchildren; Kaylee Faye Wilson, Keira Joy Wilson (Benjamin Weber), Zebulun Augustus Wilson, Casey Nahil (Jacob) Lojewski and Colleen Cecelia Benoit. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 58 years Robert.

Visitation 4:00pm - 8:00pm with Scripture Service (time pending) Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Chas. Verheyden Inc., - Duross Chapel, 28499 Schoenherr Rd., Warren, Michigan 48088. Instate 9:00am Friday, March 6, 2026 until time of Funeral Mass, 9:30am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Rd., Sterling Heights, Michigan 48313.
