Parker Anthony Hayes, 32, of Memphis, TN, passed away on September 5, 2025, in his hometown. Born on October 28, 1992, in Memphis, Parker's life was a brilliant mix of music, creativity, laughter, and love that touched everyone he knew.
Parker was the beloved son of Michael (Tony) and Stacy Hayes, and for the past eight years, he shared his life with his devoted partner, Haley McCammon. He is also survived by his brother, Jordan Michael Hayes, and sister-in-law, Kathleen Varallo; his cherished niece and nephew, Birdie and Townes Hayes; and his loyal dogs, Leila and Lavender, who were constant companions.
A proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, Parker lived life through his greatest passion: music. Whether writing, engineering, or simply soaking in every note, music was his heartbeat and his way of connecting to the world. He also found joy in the kitchen, where cooking became another creative outlet, a way to share love, bring people together, and add flavor to everyday life.
His friends describe him as the kind of person who could make any moment lighter, more colorful, and more meaningful, someone whose laughter, tie-dye shirts, and deep love for sound made him unforgettable. The many heartfelt notes his parents have received in recent days are a testament to the kind of friend he was: loyal, kind, openhearted, and full of joy. He had a rare gift for making people feel seen and valued, and his circle of friends and family will carry his spirit forward in every memory, every story, and every song.
Though Parker's time here was far too short, the beauty he brought into the world, through music, cooking, friendship, laughter, and love, will echo on forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed in Parker's name to Memphis Music Initiative https://memphismusicinitiative.org/
