Pasquale Abrezzi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Services Direct on Dec. 9, 2025.
Pasquale E. Abrezzi, known to all as Pat, was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1931 to Vincent "Jimmy" and Antoinette Abrezzi. Growing up on Vanderbilt Avenue, he discovered two lifelong passions that would define his ninety-four joyful years: baseball and the love of his life, Beatrice.

Pat met Bea when they were just twelve years old, and from that moment they were inseparable. They married in 1951 and soon welcomed two children, Patricia Ann and Gregg. In the early years of their marriage, they moved to Manalapan, New Jersey, where they purchased a home and planted the roots of a beautiful life together. For more than fifty years that house overflowed with love, laughter, family gatherings, and the constant sparkle of Christmas-because in Pat and Bea's world, Christmas truly lasted all year long. Their legendary Christmas room, decorated 365 days a year, welcomed generations of family and friends with open arms and twinkling lights.

Pat never lost his boyhood love for baseball. A devoted Brooklyn Dodgers fan who gracefully made the transition to cheering for the New York Mets, he could always be found with a game on the radio or television. Even more than baseball, though, Pat adored spoiling his bride. For seventy cherished years, he showered Bea with affection, jewelry, and adventures around the globe-always with a camera in hand to capture every smile.

Pat and Bea were, in every sense, two peas in a pod-partners in travel, collectors of memories and treasures, and doting grandparents who never missed a chance to brag about their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by his sister Catherine Abrezzi Speciale; his daughter Patricia (Michael) and son Gregg; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his warm smile and generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beatrice, his parents Jimmy and Netty, and his brother Dominick Abbruzzese.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held in the spring of 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to [insert charity name] in Pat's memory.

Pat lived a big, beautiful life filled with love, baseball, and Christmas cheer. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
