Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels - Waltham on May 9, 2025.
Born in the quaint Italian town of Sant'Elia Italy, Pasquale's early years were filled with tradition, hard work, and love for family. At the age of 14, he moved to the small town of Moreno in Argentina, and by 17, he had immigrated to the United States to build a life with Antonetta. They settled in Brighton, MA where they welcomed their first daughter Phyllis, then moved to Winchester where their second daughter, Jennifer, was born. Eventually, settling in Waltham, in the home Pasquale proudly built with his own hands.
Like many of his generation he was hardworking and determined to provide for his family. Pasquale worked in construction his entire life, specializing in plaster work. His craftsmanship was unmatched-there was truly nothing he couldn't build or repair. His hands were always busy, and his heart was always full. He was a gifted gardener, known for his extraordinary green thumb. Pasquale's garden was the pride of his home, filled with the biggest, juiciest tomatoes and zucchinis anyone had ever seen. He lovingly grew basil and parsley for his homemade pesto, and grew sweet peaches, pears, and grapes. His yard was a vibrant patchwork of flowers and fruit trees, a living reflection of his passion and joy.
Pasquale's other joys were making homemade wine each year and hunting throughout New England. He treasured the simple pleasures in life and found peace in nature, tradition, and time spent with loved ones. A lifelong dog lover, Pasquale shared a special bond with his beloved pets. Diesel and Piccolo were his last dogs. Piccolo, his tiny Chihuahua, was often seen tucked into a wicker basket, happily along for the ride wherever Pasquale went. He also loved playing bocce with the other paisans at the local Sons of Italy.
He will be remembered as a great man with a heart as generous as it was joyful. His blue eyes sparkled with mischief and kindness, his smile could brighten any room, and his laughter-warm and infectious-made everyone feel at home. Ever the jokester, Pasquale brought humor and light to those around him until the very end.
Predeceased by his parents, Phillipa (Rizza) and Carlo Dicicco of Argentina, his brothers Giovanni and Mario Dicicco of Argentina, and his cherished daughter Phyllis Dicicco of MA.
Survived by his former wife, Antonetta (Rizza) Dicicco, his loving daughter Jennifer A. Magazzu, and his adored grandson Giovanni F. Magazzu.
Though he may no longer be with us, Pasquale's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a man who gave so much and asked for little-an unforgettable soul who will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
