Pasquale Perry Obituary

Pasquale L. Perry, born on July 7, 1933, to the late Rocco L. Perry and Concetta Sorbara Perry, passed peacefully on July 25, 2024. He leaves a legacy of a well-lived life and a deep impact on those fortunate to know him. He had been a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Pasquale, known affectionately as "Pat" to his family and friends, was a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1951 and served his country with honor and dedication as a proud U.S. Army veteran from 1956 to 1958. His military service instilled a sense of duty and discipline to stay with him throughout his life.

Pat worked for General Electric and various local businesses during his career, demonstrating his commitment to hard work and dedication. Beyond his professional endeavors, he pursued his love for the arts and cinema, achieving a small but meaningful role in the iconic movie Alice's Restaurant.

Pat deeply appreciated the film world, with a particular fondness for westerns. His enthusiasm for storytelling through movies was a testament to his creative spirit and love for narrative.

Outside of the cinematic world, Pat found excitement in horse racing and the allure of casinos. His adventures in these pursuits may not have always resulted in financial gain, but they certainly left him with a treasure trove of exciting memories and stories.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Maria Perry LeClair (2014), her son Joseph LeClair (2017), his sister Barbara Morabito (2016), and Brother-in-Law Vincenzo Morabito (2019). He is survived by his niece, Carmela Spencer (Stu), her children Ezra, Shannon, Silas, and Luke, and nephews Enzo Morabito (Georgine), his children Vincent and Nicholas, Louis Morabito (Una), his children Leah and Louis, and nephew Pasquale Morabito.

In Pat's memory, we remember a man who brought laughter, humor, and a zest for life to those around him. His willingness to embrace adventure and his love for family and friends were hallmarks of his character. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the rich tapestry of experiences that made up his life.

A graveside service to honor Pasquale L. Perry's life will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pittsfield Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet inside the gates at 1:15 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in the care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

As we bid farewell to Pat, may we find solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind and in the knowledge that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. The family would like to thank all the care he received from BMC, Hospice, Springside Nursing and Rehabilitation, as well as Dr. Barry Lobovits for being his lifelong physician.

Dear Family,
We are so sorry for your loss.
Pat was a good neighbor. Years ago he used to get our mail for us when we went on trips. He called often to shoot the breeze or just to check in.
He will be missed

Randy and I were saddened to hear of my cousin Pat's passing. I have many childhood memories of Pats stories and his zest for Life. I will miss our lengthy phone calls together reminiscing about our past childhood days. Keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers and may He rest in peace!
