Margaret A. Gregory

Margaret Ann (Sperlonga) Gregory, 98, formerly of Dalton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. Known to all as "Peg," she was born in 1927, the daughter of Italian immigrant Cesare Sperlonga and his wife, Jennie (Marby) Sperlonga. After graduating from Pittsfield High School, she went on to work at General Electric for three years. On May 28, 1949, she married the love of her life, her husband Unico "Mike" Gregory, at Mt. Carmel Church in Pittsfield.

As a homemaker, Peg had an unsurpassed talent for preparing delicious meals for friends and family. Her chicken pot pie was epic, and her banana cream pie was a culinary joy. Peg also enjoyed vacationing with her husband in Aruba, and their occasional trips to Las Vegas to play the slots. In her later years she played tennis and golf.

Most of all Peg loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She will always be remembered for her charming smile, her hearty laughter, and her caring heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Gregory) Reilly of Merrimack New Hampshire, her son, Michael Gregory and wife Linda of Flower Mound, Texas, her son, Jeffrey Gregory of Grapevine, Texas, her granddaughter Ashley Gregory and husband Redd of Frome, England, her grandson, John Gregory and wife Jessica and great-granddaughter Lyla and great-grandson Elliott of Richmond, Texas, her granddaughter Maci Billiot Lindquist of Houston, Texas, and grandson Marc Billiot of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Deanna White of Auburn, Massachusetts, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her beloved husband of sixty-seven years, Unico "Mike" Gregory, predeceased her in 2017.

A memorial service followed by burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery will be held at a future date to be announced.
