Pastor Paul Glass

 

Pastor Paul Alan Glass, age 60, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on November 25,1963, in Pensacola, Florida. Although he never knew his birth parents, he was blessed to be adopted into a loving Christian home on the day of his birth by John and Edna Glass. Pastor Paul grew up in East Hill, Pensacola and attended East Hill Christian School. His family moved to Cantonment when he was 11 years old. He graduated from JM Tate High School in 1981. It was in January 1981 that he had a life changing experience happen, during which he would dedicate his life to Christ at a Bruce Roy revival being held at Cantonment PH Church.

In his early years, he was greatly influenced by Pastor Hal Goodman and the Goodman Family. Soon after receiving salvation, Pastor Paul heeded the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Paul went with Bruce Roy on 2 mission trips to Costa Rica and Haiti. On this life altering trip, led of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Paul changed the course of his education to be better prepared to fulfill the call to ministry and God opened the door for him to attend Emmanuel College. Pastor Paul would go on to graduate from Emmanuel College in 1987 with a B.S. in Pastoral Studies. While in college, he also served as President of School of Christian Ministries Council, Vice President of John Freedman Missionary Fellowship, Vice President of Christian Service Organization. During that same year, Pastor Paul would embark on a solo mission trip to Israel where he would spread the word in the Christian Coffee House Ministry inside Joppa Gate in Jerusalem after graduation.

Genesis 2:18 reads, “The Lord God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone”. True to His word, God would place the woman who would be his soulmate in his path during his time at EC in the 80’s. Pastor Paul and Pastor Penny’s lives went in different directions until they would reconnect in 2009 where they renewed a friendship and became best friends. They began to realize that there was more to their relationship than just friendship. Pastor Paul married Pastor Penny Alexander on December 31, 2010. They were truly inseparable. They lived a lifetime of adventures in love together.

Pastor Paul Served in the IPHC for 42 years and God worked through him in various corners of the globe and across the United States; He served as Cantonment PHC assistant Youth Pastor and Youth Pastor 1981-1985; Assistant Pastor and church Planting Assistant at Church of the Lamb 1987-1989; Assistant Pastor at His Highest Praise Hawaii; Science teacher at Redemption Academy, Instructor at Redemption Bible college and Member of the Hawaii Field Team-His Highest Praise Hawaii 1989-1995; Lead Pastor of Family Celebration Center and Lead Pastor, Church Planter of Infinite Grace Church, Tacoma, Washington; served on the Northwest Field Team 1995-2001; 2001-2005 Owned and operated home inspection business; Vice President of NW Home Inspection Association;  Lead Pastor of Lakeview PHC 2011-2012;  attended Liberty University, studying Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling 2013-2015;  Lead Pastor at LaGrange PHC 2015-2018;  Lead Pastor at Connection Point Ministries 2018 to present. A man richly blessed by God above, he lived a selfless life in pursuit of spreading the message of Jesus to all who would listen.  This soldier of God has gained has Heavenly reward, and together, we rejoice in the victory.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, John Patrick Glass Jr. and Samuel Edwin Glass. 

Paul is survived by his wife, Penny Alexander Glass, children: Joshua David Glass(Tara), Garitson Zachary Glass(Rachel), Nathaniel Cole Glass, Miranda Corin Gremillion(Josh), Lloyd Eugene Baker(Franchesca), Rebekah Alexandra Bennett(Jared); sister, Joneida Glass Heckler(Dickie); grandchildren, Dillon Fox Baker, Gavin Ayre Baker, Christopher Lemuel Smith, Gabe Michael Bennett, Malakai Tate Bennett; several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Connection Point Ministries with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm.
