Todd Wayne Ott, age 63, of Vermilion, Ohio, went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 17th, 2026. Todd was born on October 5th, 1962 in Windber, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Liberty University and Cleveland State University as an Occupational Therapist. He worked for many years as a Certified Hand Therapist at UH St. John Westshore Outpatient, and changed the lives of so many people.
Todd served side by side with his wife, Carrie, in youth and children's ministries throughout their entire marriage, leaving a great impact on all the youth he came in contact with. He was known for his love for the Lord, listening ear, and witty humor. He was an avid racquetball player, winning many medals across the country. He spent his free time working on classic cars, hunting, fishing, collecting bobbleheads, wearing Star Wars shirts, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Carrie (nee Tansey) Ott; their four children Madeline (Keigan) Smyczek, Duncan (Sommer) Ott, Cathryn (Preston) Sheppard, and Daniel Ott; his granddaughter, Emma Smyczek; brother, Thomas (Demetria) Ott; mother-in-law, Kathleen Queen; father-in-law, Terrance Tansey.
Todd looked forward to seeing many loved ones in heaven, especially his mom, Mary (nee Weyandt) Ott, dad, Thomas Ott, cousin, Rick (Angela) Ott, and good friends, Gail Swords and Hector Ortiz.
“Waiting for the ones I left behind, that after a time will join me with my Lord and Savior, Jesus, and the Saints of Old. God is good all the time. In the good times, bad times, and in-between times.” -Todd Ott
The service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Free Church (46485 Middle Ridge Rd, Amherst, OH 44001) on Saturday, March 21st, with calling hours from 10-12, a service to honor and celebrate Todd from 12-1, and a luncheon to follow.
