Patricia (Konrad) Marsh was born on June 18, 1941, on the family farm near Bauer, Iowa, to Rene and Annie Konrad. She attended Rosemount School and graduated from Lacona High School with the Class of 1959.
Pat met the love of her life, Carl Marsh, and the two were united in marriage on October 26, 1963. They shared 62 wonderful years together. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Shelley and Billie Jo.
Pat loved caring for others, especially through her cooking. She was an incredible cook known for her pork chops, homemade cream pies, fried chicken, and lasagna. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Pat was also a meticulous homemaker who took great pride in keeping her home spotless and welcoming.
For many years, Pat was an active member of the Lacona Catholic Rosary Society, helping cook and serve lunches at the Humeston Sale Barn and supporting numerous other church fundraising events. She played a vital role on the family farm, keeping the crew well-fed during planting and harvest seasons, running to town for parts, and unloading grain into bins.
Pat had a love for reading and gardening, and she especially enjoyed spending time outdoors. She took pride in her lawn and flower gardens and waged an ongoing battle with her least favorite flower, the dandelion.
Pat will be deeply missed by her husband, Carl Marsh; their children, Shelley (Doug) Hommer and Billie Jo (Mike) Crowe; 6 grandchildren: Dani, Tara, Michael, Chaniese, Courtney and Kayla; 5 great grandchildren; siblings: Bernie (Ann) Konrad and Bob Konrad; sisters-in-law: Charlotte Konrad, Ruth Konrad and Audrey Konrad.
Preceding her in death was her son, Howard Marsh, parents Rene and Anna Konrad, siblings Norma Wallace, Darrel Konrad, Donnie Konrad, Flavian (Peck) Konrad, Wilma Dittmer, and Rosie Lepley. To send flowers to the family of Pat, please visit our floral store.
