Obituary of Pat Rea
Patricia Sue Rea was born near Liberal, MO on April 3, 1942, to Burton and Elberta (Beasley) Riley. She completed 11th grade at Liberal High School. Pat married Jackie Rea on July 3, 1959. They had three children, Jackie Jr., Anna Marie and Burton Dean.
Pat is survived by her grandsons Michael Morris and Jody Morris; 5 great grandchildren; sister Velma Spurling and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack; 3 children; parents; sister Erma Jo Fields; brother-in-law Bill Fields; brother Vernon Riley; and grandson John Morris.
Pat lived a short time in Carterville, MO where she worked at Elden Shirt Factory. She also lived a short time in Long Beach, CA and Yuma, AZ. She returned to Liberal, MO where she remained until she went to Truman Nursing Home while Jackie was there. After he died, she moved to Arma Healthcare and Rehab until her death on August 4, 2022. Pat had loving care there from her great niece April Ragan the RA Charge Nurse. April was with her when she passed away.
Pat liked to read, play cards, fish, and camp. She was also a good cook who made ice cream and noodles as well as many other tasty dishes.
Pallbearers are Daniel Spurling, Derrick Spurling, Tony Spurling, Jon Fields, Hector Arambula, and Jimmy Ragan. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Fields, Calvin Mathis, Larry Pitts, Darrell Spurling, and Mike Spurling.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the funeral home to assists with expenses.
A graveside service will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 at 2 PM at Liberal City Cemetery.
