Clyde spent much of his life farming and also worked for many years as a road grader operator for the Nashville Township. A true craftsman, he loved woodworking and was especially proud of the benches and coffee tables he built using wood from trees he cut down himself.
Above all else, Clyde loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and trapping were his greatest passions, and his skill in trapping earned him several national awards. He especially enjoyed searching for arrowheads and other artifacts, always eager for the next discovery. He never passed up a good fish fry and was well known for frying up some truly delicious fish.
Clyde became a member of the Nashville Christian Church as a young man and remained a faithful member throughout his life.
