Katricia Djon Willis, 44, Greenfield, Missouri, lost her courageous fight with cancer on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in
Carthage, Missouri surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 12, 1981, in Blackfoot, Idaho, the daughter of Kenneth "Craig" Talbot and Julie Lee (Jarvis) Talbot. Katricia's early years were spent on the family dairy farm in Southeast Idaho where she learned to work hard and play hard. Her family moved to Jasper, Missouri her sophomore year. That is where she excelled as a student athlete and received all-state honors in volleyball and track.
After graduating from Jasper High School in 1999, she continued to pursue her passion for sports at Lindenwood University, where she further honed her skills and built lifelong friendships. Her love for the game was only matched by her love for her family and friends. Katricia married her best friend, Damon Willis, on July 11, 2015, in Jasper, Missouri, bringing together a family of five boys. They later welcomed two daughters.
Katricia's entrepreneurial spirit led her to become the owner and operator of Painting with Purpose, LLC. Her business was not just a means to an end but a canvas through which she expressed her creativity and her desire to bring joy to others. Her commitment to her Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident through her dedicated volunteer work with the Manna Mobile, where she helped feed the homeless and those in dire straits. Katricia's culinary skills were not only a testament to her love for cooking but also a vehicle for her to connect family and friends.
Family was the cornerstone of Katricia's life. She is survived by her loving husband of ten years, Damon Willis; her cherished children, Davon Willis (Taylor), Jayce Talbot, Quincy Willis (Taylor), Bryce Willis (Emily), Kaden Spicer, Djon Willis, and Lenora Willis; her beloved grandchildren, McKinley, Waylon, Walker, Oak, Axel, Mateo, and Micah Willis; her devoted mother, Julie Talbot; her siblings, Casey Talbot (Lizzy), Lora Taylor, Elizabeth Zuber (Levi), Logan Talbot (Brenna), Carrie Andersen (Tyson), and Candice Wilding (Kyle); her Grandfather, Walter Darrol Jarvis, as well as many extended family members and a multitude of friends who will forever cherish the memories they created with Katricia. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth "Craig" Talbot, her paternal grandparents, Kenneth S. and Djon Talbot, and her maternal grandmother, Glenda Mae Jarvis, whose memory she held close to her heart.
The family will hold a celebration of life on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at The Well (720 East Norton Road, Springfield, MO) where she worshiped with her family. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
